Hi!

I’m Rafe, Welcome to my website. I am a musician and music teacher. In approximate order of frequency, I play violin, fiddle (well that’s the same thing, but different), guitar, Cajun accordion, sing in English, Cajun French, Greek and more, cello, viola, mandolin, piano, bass, trumpet.. I might be forgetting a few.

I teach students of all ages, and play in local bands. Genres: Country, Cajun, Old-Time, Greek and Balkan, Jazz, weird free improv. I’ve played at festivals like the Brooklyn Folk Festival and the Old Tone Festival, and lots of venues big and small.

I live in Greenfield, MA with my wife and two children.

I am also a gardener. Hobbies: hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, making herbal medicine.
